Homies Photography Award Nomination + a Cookbook Sneak Peek!

I was nominated for a few categories over at the Kitchn’s annual “Homies” awards. Because of your votes, I was able to move ahead to the next round of voting in the photography category. I have dedicated the last six months to improving my photography skills for my book, so as a fully self-taught photographer, this nomination came as a surprise and a huge honor. Michelle from Nom Nom Paleo won it last year, so you know I would be in company if I was lucky enough to win this year.
The voting is only open until Feb 13th and I thought it would be fitting to give you the first-ever SNEAK PEEK at some photos from my new cookbook

The day your cookbook goes on sale, I am buying it!!!!!!!! Those recipes look AMAZING, esp. the layered cake and the chocolate fudge!!! You do amazing work (on both the recipes and the photography) and you should be very proud of your accomplishments!

I don’t often buy cookbooks anymore, but I will be buying yours. Your grain-free bread recipe is outstanding. I bake it for myself and also make and ship loaves to my 92-year-old mother, who likes it so much she stopped eating bagels for breakfast and just wants “the bread my daughter makes”.

Everything looks awesome, I havnt been extremly motivated to buy any cookbooks on Paleo or GF cooking yet

You have awesome photos!! I know it is probably more expensive to publish a book with photos, but I honestly buy books if they have photos and I don’t buy cookbooks without. Even searching blogs, I search out pictures and if there are no pictures, I usually move on to another blog. Good luck ! I will go vote now.
Thanks Tami! Yes it is a lot more work/money to include photos for every recipe, but I think it is SO important! We eat with our eyes first!

Come on cookbook!!! I’m wearing out my phone battery trying to cook from recipes I pull up. One day I used my netbook & dumped almond flour onto the keyboard…not good. I suppose I could print them out. Naaah, I’ll just wait anxiously for the cookbook.

I just wanted to tell you that I was looking at Williams Sonomas pictures of the “quince” cookware on Pinterest, trying to decide which was my favorite. I picked yours! I didn’t even realize who the blogger was until I had already voted! I was so excited because I love against all grain. Can’t wait to get the cookbook!
